Some schools might ban chocolate milk. I don’t agree Chocolate milk should be served because it has healthy nutrition, kids like it, and chocolate milk doesn’t have too much added sugar.
Chocolate milk has the same 9 essential nutrients as regular milk. These nutrients are calcium, potassium, phosphorus, protein, vitamin A, vitamin D, vitamin B12, riboflavin, and niacin. Studies show that kids who drink chocolate milk meet more of their nutritional needs, and are not heavier than non milk drinkers. See? “KIDS WHO DRINK CHOCOLATE MILK MEET MORE OF THEIR NUTRITIONAL NEEDS!” Kids are being healthy by drinking chocolate milk.
When chocolate milk is taken off the school menu, milk consumption dropped by about 37%. That’s a lot of kids meeting less of their nutritional needs. Kids like the taste of chocolate milk. So the milk consumption will drop by approximately 37%. Bad for the kid’s nutrition
Some people say in 8 ounce carton of chocolate milk has too much added sugar. The truth is, in 8 ounce carton of chocolate milk only has 3 teaspoons add sugar. In total that is 6 teaspoons of sugar. 3 of those teaspoons natural sugar. See not too much added sugar.
